Romanian American Foundation
I had the privilege of creating a painting for the President, Roxana Vitan, of the Romanian American Foundation as a retirement gift. The painting needed to show the main strategic goals of the non-profit organization. With seed money from the United States, she and her team built the organization from a small non-profit into a multi-million dollar foundation that has drastically changed the lives of many Romanian people. The mission of the Romanian-American Foundation is to strengthen and promote conditions for a sustainable market economy and a democratic society that provides access to opportunity for all segments of Romanian society. Upon her retirement, her team gave her this special gift that shows imagery of how her work has impacted Romanian society and the lives of many of the people who live there. The painting will also be used as the book cover about her impact on the organization and Romanian society.
I was very grateful that the painting arrived in Romania in one piece. The experience was fantastic. Coordinating with the American team, as well as the Board members of the Foundation was a challenge, but in the end, everyone was happy with the results and that Roxana was thrilled to receive the painting as a gift.
